I am thinking about buying a sail boat and sailing around the carribean. How hard is it and how long does it take to catch on to the whole concept? How do you go about docking at unfamiliar ports and what is tha process of docking at foreign ports?

I am looking to buy a boat in a year or so and I am wondering about quality of the makes. Some of the boats I am looking closely at are Maxum, Searay, Crownline. Are these good manufacturers? Are their others I should be looking into?

I am wanting to buy a used sailboat and wondering how old it may be; it is a sunfish sailboat with an olympic sail and the letters/numbers "W5 1243 LF" printed on the side. I have searched the internet to find the year model but have failed.
I am looking into getting a ski boat, but I want the type that is really "glittery", metallic, or shiny (not sure of the term).

we are considering purchasing a centurion competition wakeboarding boat and wondered if anyone had any personal experience with them.
The boat is in good condition with a new windshield, plywood floor, carpet, and a recently rebuilt original mercury 400 40 hp outboard. The engine is a two stroke 4 cylinder. The boat also comes with a hummingbird fishfinder and am/fm radio. Does anyone know much about how much these boats generally go for? If not, any idea if theres a kelly blue book or something for older boats?
I am selling my 1990 bass boat this weekend. What is a quick way to make it really shine. I want to get the wet look on the gel coat. The shine doesn't have to last more than a couple of days. I don't have time to wet sand or wax it.
I have seen some other used boats that look like they have armor all or something on the gelcoat. It had just a slight oily residue, but it really made them shine. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I work at a summer camp and on one of the sailboats the halyard (the rope that pulls up the sail) came completely out of the mast. It's a laser sailboat. I need to know how to rethread the rope through the mast. Please help, we just got the boat donated to us a few weeks ago.

my purchase a wakeboard tower for my boat. are they really necessary. and i recently purchased a regal 19 is that good for wakeboarding.
